Privacy notice
The short version, in plain English.
What we keep. Your email address, the measurements you enter, the clubs in your bag and any lengths or carry distances you change, the practice balls you log, and a record of which screens and clubs you use and whether the aim tool got you square.
Why. So your numbers follow you to a new phone, and so we can see which parts of this are actually useful while it is being built.
Who "we" is. Wayside Foundry LLC, a Texas limited liability company, 530 Wayside Dr., San Antonio, TX 78213, United States.
Who sees it. You, and the two people who run Advanced Golf Address. Nobody else.
What we never take. Your location, your camera, your contacts. The aim tool reads the compass in your phone to work out which way you are pointing, and that reading never leaves the device. Nothing is sold, shared or handed to advertisers. There are no third party trackers in this app.
Getting rid of it. Ask and we delete your account and everything attached to it. You can also clear everything on the device from My Bag.
The detail
Everything in this part is the text of the terms you accept inside the app, reproduced word for word, with the app's own section numbers kept so you can match them up. The full terms carry the sections that are not about your data.
2. Your account
You sign in with an email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for the security of that mailbox. You must be 13 or older to hold an account. Do not create an account for someone else without their knowledge.
3. What we collect and why
Account: your email address. Profile: the height, wrist to floor, handedness, flexibility and units you enter, plus club lengths and carry distances you customise. Activity: the screens you open, clubs you select, settings you change, whether you use the aim tool and the final error it reports, the practice balls you log, and technical detail such as the build number, whether the app is installed, your screen size and your platform. We use this to run the service and to decide what to build next. Who can read it: you, and the two people who run Advanced Golf Address. We hold administrator accounts, which can read the records of any account, including yours. That is how we check whether the app is working. Nobody else has access.
Before you make an account
The app works with no account, and it records the same usage data then: which screens you open, which clubs you pick, whether a feature worked. Those records are not attached to you. They carry no name, no email and no account, and nothing in them identifies your phone. They are grouped only by a visit id created fresh every time the app loads and never stored. If you make an account later, the earlier records stay anonymous. Nothing is sent until you accept the terms, and usage data can be switched off above whether or not you have an account.
4. Range test participants
Where the range test is used, an administrator records height, wrist to floor, handedness, experience level and shot outcomes for people taking part. Participants are identified only by a number, never by name or contact details. Participation is voluntary, consent is taken before any data is recorded, and a participant may ask for their record to be removed at any time.
5. How long we keep it, and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. Ask us and we will delete your account and everything attached to it. Aggregate statistics that cannot identify you may remain.
6. Content and ownership
Your measurements and practice records are yours. You grant us permission to store and process them in order to provide the service and to produce anonymous, aggregated statistics. The app itself, its calculations, wording, artwork and name remain ours.

Published here only
The sections above are the app's words. These last few are not in the app terms and are set out here so the disclosure is complete. They describe things the app genuinely does, which is why they are published rather than dropped to make the two documents match.
Which link brought you here
If you arrive on a link that carries a ?src= label, we record that one word, something like flyer or reddit, so we can tell which of the places we posted about the app actually reaches golfers. We keep only the first one, so it never changes afterwards, and it is stored alongside your activity records. It is a word we chose and put in our own link. There is no advertising network, no tracking pixel, no third-party analytics and no device identifier anywhere in this app, and nothing about you is sent to anybody else.
Where your data is held
Accounts and records are stored with Supabase (Postgres). Row-level security stops one account from reaching another account's rows. It does not apply to us: the two people who run Advanced Golf Address hold administrator accounts, which can read every account's rows. The app itself is served by Netlify. Sign-in codes are delivered by email through Brevo.
Looking up a golf course
When you search for a course, the name you type is sent to our server, which asks a course-data provider (GolfCourseAPI) for the pars and stroke indexes. Your phone never contacts them. They receive the course name and nothing else. Not your account, not your email, not your device, not your location, and not your IP address. The search is not recorded against you, and the course details we get back are stored on your phone so the card still works with no signal.
Course information comes from a third party and can contain mistakes. If the pars we show do not match the card on the tee, the card on the tee is right, and you can correct any of it, or enter a course yourself.
Children
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger than 13.
Turning usage data off, and getting your data out
Section 3 above says usage data can be switched off "above", which refers to the panel inside the app. On a phone it is in the Guide tab, under Your data and your account, and it works whether or not you have an account. Turn it off and nothing further is sent, and anything still waiting on your phone is thrown away. From the same place you can delete your own account, and you can export everything we hold on you at any time.
